would you like to explain to us how you think one man could have murdered those 3 hunters, all by himself, with out the hunters even trying to fight back?? mr. coffin would have got wounded just a little dont you think.....they were all armed for bear hunting.do you really beleive, In reality sir, who the hell would kill someone and then take home a pile of evidence to get caught with? least of all the fuel pump that they had just bought from a garage where the garage owener saw mr. coffin and richard lidnsey together...
I beleive mr. coffin did steal those things, he was known to steal things...
there were a quite a few people who knew just where the hunters would be..
the owener of the garage, the 3 men who told the hunters to go back to gaspe and what route to go on to get back in the woods, and so on...
mr. coffin was known to talk a lot when he had a drink, so i imagine everyone in gaspe knew he had those things before the hunters were murdered....
they knew for sure mr. coffin would take the fall, knowing he had took those things from the hunters. I heard many times people who beleive mr. coffin was framed...I dont beleive mr coffin wanted a gas pump enough to murder 3 men...this is beyond reality...It has been said mr. linsey was a bad guy after the woman. and once was warned not to come back to gaspe... ummmm, makes one wonder doesnt it, just whos woman he was after????
In all comman sense...
would anyone murder 3 men, take home, and talk about all the evidence to incrimanate hisself, and lead the police right to his door...there is noone that dumb....
I beleive whoever did murder the 3 hunters knew mr. coffin had those things, and they set mr. coffin up to be framed....
just use your commen sense here...
Mister anonymous,
The writings on this blog are not based on assumptions and tittle-tattle, but on the proof that was laid before the Percé jury by 80 witnessess in accordance with the Law of Evidence in Canada and by 214 witnesses who deposed before the Brossard Commission. This is not a gossip column.
My hat is off to you, Maître Fortin, for your reply to Mister anonymous.

You ask for comments, positive or negative, you said…. Yet when someone gives an opinion, you get all bent out of shape….there was nothing laid before a Perce jury that meant a thing, all circumstantial…had a good investigator been in Gaspe to do his job, maybe there would have been some kind of evidence…. This is not gossip, just common sense…coffins whole trial was based on assumption and tittle-tattle…speak to some of the people who were there, instead of newspaper gossip....
