VOS COMMENTAIRES...
ALTON PRICE IS ALWAYS CONVINCED OF WILBERT COFFIN'S INNOCENCE

To those who have mixed feelings about Alton Price’s appearance on my blog, I say this: Alton is convinced that Wilbert Coffin is not guilty. It’s obvious to those who have read his book To Build a Noose and in French Tromper le jury. He has not changed his mind. You may rest assured.
As far as I am concerned, I have achieved the goal I had set for myself, that is, make public the information that was totally ignored by Jacques Hébert in his writings on this affair.
However, Alton and I share a common goal on this issue. We want some action from our politicians, not just promises. It is time to put an end to the sufferings of the Coffin family.
Whatever decision will be taken, everyone will be able to judge for himself if it is the right one. But a decision must be taken urgently. If for whatever reason Wilbert Coffin’s name was cleared, I would, as a born Gaspesian, be happy.

Anonyme a dit...

Me Fortin

Anonyme a dit...

Me Fortin,

Anonyme a dit...

Anonyme a dit...

Anonyme a dit...

Anonyme a dit...

Pierre Goyette

Anonyme a dit...

Mr Goyette,
You'd better ask someone who read To Build a Noose. Has anyone read something about Coffin's mother testimony, Coffin's statutory declaration and the doctrine of recent possesion in Alton Price's book?

It is obvious that most of yur comments are written by the same person under assumed names. Just look at the time on them they are at most only minutes apart and in some only one minute. It would be mighty big odds for all of you to turn on your computers at precisely the same time and write about the same item Surely Mr. Fortin you can do better than this. Are you that hard up for readers?

Anonyme a dit...

You ask for commenters on your site and when you do get them you insult them. I was only voicing what I see and offering my opinion on the matter, and yes it does appear that a lot of your comments are written by the same person. Because you don't happen to like my comment, is that a reason to insult my opinions? Why did you make a personal attack on me? You know nothing about me or what I do.

Mr. Fortin,
You state that anyone is welcome in expressing their opinions on this site for publication. Here is my opinion and I expect you to publish it.

I just recently had the chance to read the latest posting by Lew Stoddard about the federal goverments part in this matter. This is an extremely importantly matter that he refers to. It is little wonder that this Brossard Inquiry would not want something like that made public. Why have you not written about this in the past? You are extremely critical of Mr. Stoddard. He does his homework. I am sending him a copy of this comment as you would surprize me greatly if you actually stuck to your word on this and published it in the welcome manner that you express.

I think you are quite wrong. I don't think that Stoddard as you call him expected a wild reaction at all to his last post. How could you possibly react when it is obvious that nrither you or Alton Price knew anything about the matter. That is because Mr. stoddard does his homework and does not rely on junk to fill his page.

Me Fortin,

Anonyme a dit...

Anonyme a dit...

Encore moi. Me again.
I would love the Gaspé gossippers tell us what they think of Wilbert's lies and his mom's testimony before Brossard.

Au plaisir de vous lire !

Mr. Stoddard,

I'm very intrigued to see that members of the Coffin family, who until last year attended assiduously your site, don't do it anymore. Have they lost confidence in you? Do they feel that they have been fooled by a smooth talker? Have they realized, like many others, that you are an impostor? They were counting on you, Mr. Stoddard. They thought you were honest. They believed in you when you said that you had new documents and that you had relevant information. What's happening? I bet you won't publish my letter. So I will sent it to Clément Fortin, who will certainly post it.

Monsieur Stoddard,

Clément Fortin a dit...

Monsieur Castelain,

Mr. Fortin,

With you being dedicated to the doctrine of Wilbert Coffin being guilty of this crime and Lew Stoddard being committed to proving his innocence, you must at least agree that his last posting detailing Canadian and U S government interfering in the process is a major setback on the part of the Canadian federal government.

Common sense would tell one that they would not want this story told. Little wonder that they hid some stuff from view from this Brossard thing.

It will be interesting to learn of other information that he obviously has in his possession. Finally this case shows some daylight after a half century.

I want to get a copy of this letter off to Stoddard Online in the event that due to space considerations, you do not have the free space to print it.

I have a question. It seems the Governments do not want to overturn the coffin case. Or to admit there was an injustice done to coffin. If they were to do so, and to say there was an injustice done to Wilbert Coffin, would the Government of quebec and canada have to pay the coffin family for the wrong doings the governments has done in hanging coffin. I would say over fifty years of suffering for the coffin family could cost a large amount of money for the governments. could this be what is happining?

Anonyme a dit...

Money, money. We see your game.

Anonyme a dit...

Mr. Fortin,
Let me tell you that the Coffins are not reluctant to the idea of making a lot of money with the rehabilitation of Wilbert. It is rumored that Lew Stoddard expects to receive his share of the pie.

Clement,

Is there a particular reason why Wilbert Coffin's defense team picked the particular time that they did to petition the federal government. This appears to be very important in my opinion. I am curious what the Brossard Inquiry had to say about this stuff when you researched it.

Would not their chances have been much better if they had approached the government earlier? I ask that question because it appears that at that particular time the government was deeply involved with the extradition of those guys involving the securities frauds.

Thank you Clement in advance for explaining this to me.

I beleive Lindesy had little money left anyways when he went into the woods. I dont beleive money or syrup or eggs was ever a motive for that murder.. Mr. Price is correct about a few things. cabot went to Gaspe often. He had a very good friend in Douglastown, one who drank much, and was as wild as cabot was. find it strange cabots daughter or son never mentioned that.
